This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Gumbo Tech Private Limited ("Company," "We," "Us," or "Our"), operating under the brand name Veda Baba, collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application ("Veda Baba") or website (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Services:

a. Information You Provide

• Log-in Data (Account Information): Name and email address obtained through Google authentication (Gmail login). Veda Baba does not collect or store passwords, phone numbers, OTPs, or any other third-party login credentials.
• Profile Information: Optional details such as date of birth, gender, contact phone number, and city of residence.
• User-Generated Content: Any text, photos, audio clips, posts, or media you voluntarily upload or share within Veda Baba (e.g., seeker profiles).
• Communication Data: Messages or inquiries you send to our support team.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, Operating System (OS) version, IP address, unique identifiers, and app version.
• Usage Data: How you interact with features, pages, and sections of the app (e.g., chanting, horoscopes, audio lectures).
• Cookies & Analytics: Used for maintaining sessions, troubleshooting, testing, and improving user experience.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

We use your data to:

• Set up, manage, and authenticate your account using Google Sign-In.
• Personalize your experience and provide language or astrological location-based features (if applicable).
• Facilitate communication, provide user support, and notify you about changes to the Platform.
• Develop new services, improve existing ones, and integrate user feedback.
• Administer the Platform, maintain security, and prevent fraudulent activity.
• Enforce our terms, conditions, and policies and protect our rights or the rights of other users.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Public content (such as posts, comments, or profile details) is accessible to other users. Any information you voluntarily disclose for posting on the Platform may be re-shared by others.

We may share limited data with:

• Service Providers: Assisting in hosting, analytics, performance monitoring, and technical operations.
• Legal Authorities: When required by applicable law.
• Affiliates or Partners: Only with your explicit consent.

All third parties handling your data are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Security & Retention

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures (industry-standard security) to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to your account is authenticated via Google Sign-In, and we do not store your Google password.

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our Services or as required by law. When data is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymized, or securely archived.

5. Account & Data Deletion Policy (Play Store Requirement)

You may request complete deletion of your account and personal data at any time. This process is irreversible and will remove all stored information, preferences, and in-app history.

Steps to Delete Your Account In-App:

1. Launch Veda Baba and log in.
2. Open the drawer menu by tapping the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
3. Scroll down and select "Delete Account".
4. Confirm your choice to permanently delete your account.

Steps to Delete Your Account via Email:

You can also request deletion by emailing us at support@gumbotech.in with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.

Once we verify your identity, we will permanently delete your personal data (except where retention is required by law) within 30 days of receiving your request.

6. Child Safety & Age Restriction Policy

Veda Baba is strictly intended for adults aged 18 years and above.

• No Access for Children: Children (individuals under the age of 18) are not permitted to use this app. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from minors.
• Zero Tolerance for Exploitation: We have a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse, exploitation, or inappropriate interaction involving minors. Any account found to belong to a user under 18 will be immediately suspended and permanently removed, and violations may be reported to law enforcement authorities (e.g., POCSO Act, 2012).

This app is not part of Google Play Families and is categorized as Adults Only (18+).

7. Refund & Cancellation Policy

For subscriptions or paid services (Vedic activation/premium access) within Veda Baba:

• You can mail us at support@gumbotech.in for a refund or cancellation of your subscription amount.
• Refunds will only be processed if you have not used our premium services.
• We will only refund the last deducted amount.

8. User Rights

You are free to remove or delete content from your user profile at any time. You may also:

• Access, update, amend, or correct your personal information by logging into your profile.
• Request details on how your data is processed.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

9. Contact & Grievance Officer

In accordance with applicable Indian law, the name and contact details of our Grievance Officer are provided below for filing complaints or concerns. The Grievance Officer shall acknowledge complaints within 3 business days and resolve them within 30 days.
