Gumbo Tech Pvt Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “Service Provider”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy applies to users of the Deen-e-Islam mobile application (“Application”). By installing or using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

When you register or use Deen-e-Islam, we may collect:

Google account information (such as name and email) when you sign in with Google
Name (if entered manually)
Phone number
Preferred content language (Hindi/English)
Your location
Permission to make Deen-e-Islam appear on top of other apps during Namaz times
Permission for notifications

This information is collected during the registration process and is used to create and manage your account.

b) Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect limited information such as:

Device type and operating system
App usage data (stories/dua/ringtones played, Quran verse listened, listening duration, interactions)
App performance data and crash reports
Location data for showing correct Namaz timings and Qibla directions

This information helps us improve the Application and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

Create and manage your user account
Provide access to free and premium content
Personalize content based on language preference
Track listening progress and favourites
Improve app performance and reliability
Provide customer support
Send important service-related notifications

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process.
When disclosure is necessary in good faith to:
- Protect the rights or property of the Service Provider
- Protect user safety or public safety
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues
- Respond to a government request
With trusted service providers who work on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, analytics, authentication, or payment platforms). These providers:

- Process data only for service delivery

Your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside India. By using the Application, you consent to such storage and processing.

4. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using Google:

We access only basic profile information (such as name and email)
We do not access your contacts, files, or other Google data
This information is used only for authentication and account management

5. Payments

Deen-e-Islam offers a premium subscription.

All payments are processed through Google Play or Apple App Store.
Gumbo Tech does not collect, store, or process card, UPI, or banking details.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information:

For as long as your account is active
For a reasonable period thereafter for legal and operational purposes

You may delete your account from the Profile section or request deletion by contacting support@gumbotech.in.

Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all data collection by:

Deleting your account within the Application, or
Uninstalling the Application using your device’s standard uninstall process.

8. Children’s Privacy

Deen-e-Islam is designed for general audiences, including families and children.

Children should use the Application under parental or guardian supervision.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information without consent, they may contact us at support@gumbotech.in, and we will delete the information promptly.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the Effective Date. Continued use of the Application after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

By using Deen-e-Islam, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
